When you’re a kid, one of the first things you get told about the world is to call 999 if you’re in danger.

So it’s nice to see this toddler took the message on board, and trusted police enough to call them when something happened that she wasn’t sure how to deal with.

Specifically, it was putting on her trousers. We’ve probably all struggled with it at some point, right? Especially when aged two.

Although her granddad was at home babysitting while her mum Pebbles went out to work in South Carolina, Aaliyah clearly has an independent streak as she took matters into her own hands and dialled 911.

As she’s still very young, she couldn’t explain exactly what the problem was when the call handler picked up, staying quiet for some of the time and otherwise babbling a little.
