A judge will decide what penalty the man from Colorado will face after he shot his misbehaving computer in a public place.

A frustrated computer user in Colorado has been given a ticket after “killing” his home computer.

Lucas Hinch, 37, was given the citation by police for discharging a weapon within city limits after he took his PC into an alley and shot it eight times.

Colorado Springs Police Lieutenant Jeff Strossner said Mr Hinch told him he had been fighting his computer for months before deciding to exact revenge and execute it.

He accepted the ticket and told Mr Strossner he had no idea he had committed an offence. The penalty for his actions will be decided by a judge.

It is not thought Mr Hinch’s computer survived the attack.
