The 31-year old pop singer Katy Perry roared her way to the top of the highest earning women in music.
Forbes released their list for “The World’s Highest-Paid Women In Music” for 2015, which had Katy Perry sitting at the top with a whopping $135 million.
Over the course of her 126 shows for her Prismatic tour, she brought in over $2 million per city. Perry told Forbes:
“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company. I’m an entrepreneur. … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”
Taylor Swift comes in second place with a $55 million difference after earning $80 million this year. The rivalry continues after rumors speculated about Swift’s hit “Bad Blood” being about the former friendship with Katy Perry.
Why can’t the two power pop singers just make up and be friends already? Go on a nice trip together with their newfound income from this past year?
Following Swift in third place is Fleetwood Mac with $59.5 million. Lady Gaga is a close fourth with $59 million.
Our girl “Queen Bey” surprisingly came in fifth, making $54.5 million (which is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of).
To say the least, these women have definitely got it going on in their lives right now.
